Apple Pie

I went apple picking last week. At a place called Wilson's Orchard (near Iowa City, IA) Last night I made two apple pies and compared the taste. Being ever the scienist one pie is made form an apple called "Song of September". It was a nice pie is a slight tart charecter. The other pie was made form "Honey Crisp" apples, and was very sweet but a little plain. Both were great.

What am I saying here?

Food is important to me. Most of best Memories have food somewhere in them. My Fall memories have apple picking in them, becuase apple pie, carmeled apples and experiences I had when I was growing up. Nothing say early fall - late summer more for me than a fresh , ripe crisp apple.
